Not only is it the fastest ant but it is also one of the fastest animals in the world.
The animal speed record belongs to the Dracula Ant Mystrium camillae, which is found from South Asia to northern Australia. It can snap its mandibles in 0.000 015 seconds.
That is 5 000 times faster than a blink of an eye.
