The educational exhibition "Swans - the known and the unknown" examines the diversity of swan species, their lifestyle, the main threats they face, and the research of swans. The exhibition is interesting to families with children, as well as to school groups.

Swans are among the first birds that we meet in childhood, and many of us have observed them in nature. The exhibition tells more about different swan species, their nests, eggs and how the baby swans grow. You will be able to find out what is on the swans' menu.

Swans have always captured the imagination of people, maintaining their place in fine arts, music and literature, however, the coexistence of people and swans often ends tragically. The exhibition explains the human-caused threats to swans. Also, the exhibition looks into the achievements of Latvian swan researchers, as well as presents two current swan studies and their results.

The exhibition was created by the Latvian National Museum of Natural History ornithologist Dmitrijs Boiko and swan researcher Ruslans Matrozis, while Agency "Raugs" took care of the arrangement and design.
