During the COVID-19 pandemic two new permanent exhibitions are developed at the Latvian Museum of Natural History. 

Both exhibitions "Mammals of Latvia" and "CITES" are funded by the EU Cohesion Fund project Nr. 5.4.2.2/17/I/002 "National environmental monitoring programme and control system development, and promotion of public participation by improving infrastructure of national level environment and information centers". 

The exhibition about mammals of Latvia was created in 1977, while CITES or the exhibition about Washington Conventions on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora - in 2003. 

Both exhibitions and represented topics are highly demanded by pupils and students of various age groups. These are also among favorite for families with children and foreign visitors. 


During the construction works both exhibitions are closed.


Both exhibitions are due to open by the end of 2020.
