Rules of the game
- To start the game, place the base on a flat surface. Build a tower by placing three blocks on each level, and reverse the direction on each following level by placing them crosswise.
- The youngest player starts the game.
- With one hand, pull a block out of any level except the top one. You are allowed to touch the blocks to see which one is loose and easier to remove. You must not hold the tower with the other hand. When the block is pulled out, it must be placed on the top level of the tower. If the tower does not fall over, the next player makes the move; if it does fall – the player loses.
Look at the blocks. Each block represents a small part of Latvia’s wildlife. The tower symbolises the nature of Latvia as a whole. It can stand firm and stable as long as all its occupants are in place. As soon as we remove any part of the wildlife, the tower starts losing its stability and eventually collapses. This is why every block of the tower, or wildlife inhabitant, is important to ensure not only a stable but also diverse environment in Latvia!
